For the long 3 day weekend we spent our time together. On Friday night we hit up our stake Valentine Dance, hoping for some good tunes and for something we don't usually do. There was no babysitting and we're not about to pay someone to watch Reese, so we took her with us. She enjoyed it more than we did for sure. The music was so lame. It was all from the early 90's and just horrible. We stayed for at the max an hour mostly because Reese loved running and dancing in the gym. She also had her first dance with a boy. Jake Thomason and she loved dancing together. They would hold hands for a little bit and then run away super giddy to their parents. It went on like that all night. They were really cute. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed in the music and really wanted some good jams, but I guess people think once you're married you're automatically lame...whatevs!
On Saturday we got up early and headed to Spokane with the Stevens. We switched off watching kids and went to the temple. Then we went to lunch at Red Robin with them and the Walkers. We enjoyed delicious greasy burgers and food. I haven't had a burger like that in a long time and it was good. We followed that up with of course some shopping since we are so limited in Moscow. We hit up the mall, Target and the Gap, Nordstrom and Gymboree since we don't even see those stores hardly ever. It was a long day, but a lot of fun. Lucky for us Reese did really well and didn't throw up in the car! It was a success! Oh and when we got home I was pleasantly surprised with an awesome Valentine cake on our table. Jake got it for us from Sandi, who is an amazing cake decorator! It was beautiful!
On Sunday we got ready for church and all opened the valentine cards we got for each other. Then we came home, ate left overs, napped and then Jake made us steaks. They were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We later feasted on the cake and Reese LOVED it! I've never seen her eat cake like that before. She gobbled it up and devoured it because it was "Sandi cake!". It was really cute. Then of course we chilled and watched the Olympics!
On Monday we hung out, watched silly movies on TV and went to Pizza Hut. It was really yummy and we just had a lot of fun being together. I have the two greatest Valentines ever!
Here are some pics of Reese. Isn't she the cutest?
