Reese WAS 11 months!

So almost one month later I am putting up Reese's 11 month update! Christmas break was crazy and then getting back in the swing of things has made this not as important, but don't worry because I know you're all dying to know what Reese could do at 11 months.

-She started pulling herself up onto everything and learned how to go back down by landing pretty hard on her bottom. It didn't seem to bother her though. In fact some days she would just pull herself up on the couch and then fall back on her bum, only to keep doing it again and again. It was really neat to watch her discover how to get up and down.

-She learned how to get along and be soft with dogs. At my house over Christmas Reese was first afraid of our golden retriever, Cooper. Cooper was nice enough to let Reese pull his hair and pat/slap him in the face, because in turn he got to lick off all her lotion on her face and skin. They became great buddies. Later she got so brave that she would go after him.

-Reese finally got the 4-wheel drive down! She officially started crawling on all fours instead of her wounded soldier crawl while in Wisconsin. She became super speedy too.


-She graduated to only one nursing time in the morning. The rest of the time she had one sippy cup of juice and two bottles of formula! She learned to love the sippy cup, too.

-Reese had quite the appetite and put on the Christmas pounds. She ate a ton over break and was quite happy.


-She learned to spit/blow raspberries whenever she was sick or bored with food. We loved wearing her food, too!

-She was still an excellent eater. She loved crackers, cheerios, cheese, every baby food imaginable except green beans and most of all loved eating whatever was on our plates. That always looked better than her own food.

-She learned to play peek-a-boo really well and blew kisses amazingly.

-Reese got confused sometimes with clapping and waving for a bit, but no worries now. She will say hi to every single person a 100 times and clap whenever good job or yeah is said.

-Reese would go to bed anywhere from 8:30-10:30pm and wake up at 7:30ish am to eat. Then she usually went back to sleep until 9:30ish everyday. It was fantastic.

-At first she hated naps and wouldn't do them at all except for about 15 minutes a day. It drove me crazy, but when we went home to Wisconsin she snapped right on back into a big long 2 hour or more nap a day. HOORAY! I could shower, get ready and do other things!

-She became quite regular and now we understand why people have diaper genies now.

-Still was an excellent traveler and slept the whole way to Wisconsin on the first plane and on the second ate all her food and smiled and laughed. On the way back she was great too.

-Reese loved going to the bookshelves and dumping all her toys out everywhere. She also wanted to touch the dvd player and tv every second, as well as our books. So we blocked the tv off with our coffee table and used some of our table chairs to block off the bookshelf. We've fixed the situation now so that we can live again, but for the time being it worked rather nicely.


-She enjoyed Christmas for the first few minutes and then got bored. She'd rather crawl around tear paper and throw things. Her favorite present was the play food and the light up phone. She also really loved her glow worm.


-She loved ornaments and looking at her reflection, especially in the dishwasher.


-Reese didn't hate Santa, but didn't love him either. She was scared of him, but didn't wail like most of the kids in the ward. She was happy to be back in our arms to say the least.


-She learned that she can pull herself up to the second drawer above the tupperware drawer and pull out all the kitchen utensils. She figured that out and has since created larger messes across the floor, but hey it keeps her occupied.

-She still always wanted the remote and my cell phone. It was the coolest thing to her as well as the night light in the hallway.


-She also had another tooth break through. She officially had 6 teeth. 4 on top and 2 bottoms.


-She pointed number 1 to and at everything.

That was Reese last month and soon she will be one! This Saturday is her first birthday! CRAZY! We're amazed at what a beautiful year it has been and at how beautifully our life has been blessed by this cute, wild little girl! Can't wait for another year!
